Most of us inhabit just one home, live in one town, and know that locality intimately. Making every other locality “elsewhere”. Adventures start there. Exploration opens seeing and sharpens our senses by its newness. Sometimes reassuring dormant beliefs, sometimes reinforcing core values, yet sometimes exposing new perspectives.
Travelogue images, …aka postcards, attempt to capture a sense of place. Postcards were often used to give context to folks back home. Mostly these images reinforce the known, learned, or seen. Sometimes, if only rarely —opening us to the unexpected or unknown.
